This is an ACTIVE club for 2023-2024.

What is this club about?

The Foothill chapter of NHS is dedicated to creating a better community in two distinct ways. Outside of Foothill, we want to help underserved and disadvantaged peoples in our own community. Whether that's veterans, those with disabilities, the homeless, or those in harder stages of their lives, we want to make these people feel welcome and safe in the environment around them. We want our members to be able to have unique opportunities to give back through NHS partnerships with nonprofits and shelters. Nationally, NHS has high levels of recognition and we want to continue the NHS legacy with our students here. While we want to serve our community, we have to serve the people that do it with us: our peers at Foothill High. Within Foothill, we want to facilitate new connections, friendships, and camaraderie. We want to welcome students, returning and new members, into our club. Everyone that has a passion for their community deserves a chance to lend their hand and the biggest changes are made with the strength in numbers. Our members should have fun with our free-spirited events for club bonding but also enjoy those events that are aimed for the betterment of our community. We want to give the members of our school that are passionate about community the place to truly be their best selves. It's our belief that NHS should be a model for the rest of the school โ€“ a group of people who interact and communicate in the way the larger community should.

If they are unresponsive, the assigned Club Councilmember can step in and connect you to the club officers, so email them.

How do I contact the teacher advisor (the adult in charge)?

While most questions pertaining to club meetings and mission are best referred to the student officers, an adult contact may be preferable in some cases. Send an email to the teacher advisor. Their email address is below their name.

I want to escalate something. How do I contact the Club Council?

The Club Council is a central body governing the operations of all clubs on campus. They are not involved with the specifics of the club, as that responsibility is shared by the club officers. The Club Council assigns a Councilmember to oversee each club. You can contact the assigned Councilmember at council@foothillclubs.com.
